Terrace Grove School gives a few families on one mountain road a place to educate their children together. Core academic work happens at home, led by each child's parents with a curriculum they choose. Group lessons, projects, reading circles and time outdoors happen together on our road in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We serve kindergarten through grade 5.
We are neighbors who already raise our kids side by side on Terrace Grove Road. Our children are close in age and already spend their days together. The school makes that formal: a shared schedule, parents taking turns leading, and a record of what each child is learning. It is run by volunteers. There is no tuition.
Schedule
Families meet on a set weekly schedule and take turns leading. Academic coursework continues at home between meetings. Contact us for the current meeting days and times.
